Urdu language course for Turkish students concluded at PU


LAHORE: (Saturday, August 27, 2016): Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran has said that there are number of similarities between the civilization, culture, education, and history Pakistan and Turkey and both are brotherly countries. He was addressing certificate distribution ceremony among the Turkish students from Istanbul University who had recently completed short Urdu language course at the University Club.

Addressing the ceremony, Dr Mujahid Kamran stressed the need to promote between the academic institutions of both the countries. Osaka University Japan’s Department of Urdu’s Professor Soya-Maney while congratulating the students said that Japanese students would also participate in this short Urdu language program. On this occasion, Turkish students presented national songs while paying tribute to Pakistan. Dean Faculty of Oriental Learning Prof Dr Muhammad Fakhar-ul-Haq Noori, Prof Emeritus Dr Khawaja Muhammad Zakria, Istanbul University Turkey’s Research Assistant Khadija Gorgaan and Chairman PU Urdu Department Prof Dr Muhammad Kamran in their speeches appreciated the friendly relations between the two countries.
