PU CCP organizes workshop


LAHORE: (Friday, December 15, 2017): Punjab University Centre for Clinical Psychology (CCP) has organized one day training workshop on "Mind-Body Techniques to Overcome Trauma, Pain and illness". The resource person of the workshop was Dr. Chok Hiew, eminent heath psychologist from Canada. PU Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Zafar Mueen Nasir, CCP Director Prof Dr Rukhsana Kausar, faculty members and clinical psychologists from different health departments, faculty, Ph.D, MS and ADCP students from CCP were present on the occasion.

Addressing the ceremony, Prof Dr Zafar Moeen Nasir said that people were facing a lot of psychological problems and therefore the students of psychology had an important part to play to resolve such issues. He said that it was the time to pay back to the nation through community service. He appreciated the efforts of Centre for Clinical Psychology for the community services. Prof. Dr. Rukshsana Kausar highlighted the objective of the workshop which will be beneficial in management of psychological trauma and trainees of this workshop will act as master trainers to train new trainees and staff of the psychological trauma at CCP as well as n other trauma related institutes in Pakistan.
